This New Ulm home got a total makeover, including the CleanSpace wall vapor barrier, which will prevent moisture from entering the home through the foundation.
Note: The "after" photo also shows the waterproofing system just before the crew worked to cover it with concrete.
Marlys from New Ulm was having issues with water coming in through her walls and floors in her basement. She contacted us at Victor Barke's Complete Basement Systems and we came up with a solution for her problems. By installing our WaterGuard drain tile, SuperSump Plus & UltraSump 4 she now doesn't have to worry about cleaning up the areas in her basement that she was having problems with. With the addition of the CleanSpace Wall System it also improved the look of her walls in the basement!
Before we stepped in, this basement in Lake Crystal, MN, had some serious moisture issues, leaving it damp and prone to water damage whenever it rained. But after our waterproofing installation, it’s a whole new space! We used our WaterGuard drain tile system and CleanSpace vapor barrier to keep the water out, turning it into a dry, clean area that can be used for anything — whether it’s extra storage or a cozy living space. No more worries about water creeping in, just peace of mind for years to come!
This Winthrop, MN homeowner was looking to sell her home but knew that her previously installed waterproofing system was failing. In order to confidently sell her home, she worked with System Design Specialist to design a waterproofing system that kept the basement space dry and safe regardless of weather. Now, she can sell the home with confidence, knowing that the system is warrantied for the life of the home!
When our Design Specialist Ryan went to visit with this homeowner about her water issues in the basement, she decided she also wanted to add an egress as she was going to refinish the basement once it was dry. Adding an egress will allow much more light in than a regular basement window. And since she plans to use this space as additional living space in her home, this egress is designed for someone to be able to escape the basement in case of an emergency such as a fire. Not to mention, it's more aesthetically pleasing.
Let us know if you are interested in adding an egress window to your basement!
