Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

These homeowners had a serious moisture issue in their old basement. They noticed mold in several areas which causes a health risk throughout the home. Our Design Specialist Ronald S decided on a full waterproofing system consisting of our WaterGuard Drain Tiling System, our CleanSpace Wall System, a SuperSump sump pump and our LawnScape Discharge Line with IceGuard.

With this full system in place, the only thing left for the homeowners to worry about is how they are going to use their updated space!

This basement in Hanska, MN had persistent water issues and stained, leaky walls that made the space feel unusable. Water seepage along the floor and foundation walls was creating the perfect environment for mold and damage.

A homeowner in Madelia, MN reached out to us after dealing with persistent water issues in his basement. Every time it rained, water would seep through the walls and pool on the basement floor, making the space unusable. Our team got to work by installing a complete waterproofing system tailored to his home. We lined the basement walls with CleanSpace, a heavy-duty vapor barrier that prevents moisture and musty odors from entering the space. Below the floor, we installed WaterGuard, an interior drainage system that collects water at the foundation’s edge and directs it to the sump pump. At the heart of the system is our SuperSump sump pump system, a powerful and reliable pump designed to keep basements dry even during heavy rains.

Now, the basement is clean, dry, and protected from anything Mother Nature brings his way. The SuperSump sump pump offers the homeowner peace of mind, knowing his investment is safe and the space is usable year-round.

Problems with water coming in a corner of the basement everytime a heavy rain happened would have these homeowners putting towels down, running fans, anything to dry it up until it would happen next time.  

Brett & Christel had enough with this problem and wanted it solved once and for all.  They had called us a couple of times for an appointment to address the problems with water.  Getting the pre-appointment information gave them a lot to think about and consider to do this properly and can be a costly repair on top of the addition plans to make a livable space in the basement. 

When we inspected the basement, our System Design Specialist noticed signifigant foundation movement.  About 2" of the block walls had bowed inward.  Very possibly a cause to some of the water problems they have had.  

What causes a foundation to crack is due to moisture and frost that interact with the soil around your home which expands.  That expansion results in constant inward force on your foundation wall until it can no longer support the pressure, causing cracking, bowing and tipping.

Water seepage through walls, floor/wall joint is the same, hydrostatic pressure.  Floor and wall water seepage is quite common.

Our solution to solve our customers water and foundation problems involved installing our patented WaterGuard Drainage System, CleanSpace Wall System, SuperSump Pump and PowerBrace Foundation System. 

This Blue Earth home had moisture issues and the homeowners noticed that the foundation walls were buckling. The homeowners had been doing research on options on how to fix the problem. We were happy when they stopped by our office to talk about the problem and we set them up with a FREE inspection and estimate.

Our System Design Specialist Ryan went to evaluate the situation. Together they concluded a perimeter drain tile system, new sump pump system and foundation support was needed to permanently protect their home.

WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the foundation to keep ground water from seeping through the floor and work with a new SuperSump Pump System to discharge water out of the basement.  PowerBrace zinc coated beams were installed on the block foundation walls to prevent further wall buckling.
