Saving an Old St Paul, MN Basement

Built in 1917, the home’s aging foundation allowed water to seep in regularly, creating a damp, musty environment that limited how the space could be used. Our System Design Specialist evaluated the property and recommended a complete waterproofing system tailored to protect this historic home. The installation included a WaterGuard interior drainage system to efficiently collect and direct water, CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal walls and prevent moisture penetration, and a SuperSump sump pump with an UltraSump 4 battery backup to ensure reliable pumping even during power outages. To control humidity and air quality, we also installed a Sedona SaniDry dehumidifier. With these proven solutions in place, the basement is now dry, stable, and protected, ensuring this historic home remains safe and usable for the next 100 years.
