Having a previously bad experience with another contractor, this customer decided to shop around for a solution to the bowed and cracked foundation wall problem on their home.
We provided a FREE estimate to inspect the problem, explained what causes foundations to crack and buckle over time and showed them our interior solution for foundation wall repair problems.
Moisture and frost that interact with the soil around your home causes expansion. Expansion results in a constant inward force on your foundation until it can no longer support the pressure, causing cracking, bowing and tipping.
Advantages of our PowerBrace Foundation Wall System allows for no disturbance to lawn and landscaping and can straighten walls safetly over time.
Our customer contacted Complete Basement Systems after a home inspection was done on her home regarding the foundation wall bowing. Our system design specialist designed a solution to prevent future wall movement.
These homeowners in Hector, MN called us with some water intrusion and bowing walls in their basement. When walls are bowing in, it is usually due to hydrostatic pressure from too much water building up against the outside of the walls, or the soil that is around your property swells and exerts pressure that forces the foundation wall inward. Bowed or leaning walls can cause very serious structural damage if not corrected.
After discussing the options available with the homeowners, it was decided we would install our PowerBrace Wall Support System to permanently stabilize the walls. These beams are custom-fit to your basement height and tightly secured against the wall with brackets that are anchored to the basement floor below and first-floor framing above. The braces are tightened over time, slowly pushing the wall back to the correct positition.
We also installed an UltraSump3, WaterGuard drain system and discharge with IceGuard. This will ensure a dry, safe basement for these homeowners.
This home in Blue Earth, MN won't have to worry about bowing walls any longer with our warranty-backed power brace system.
