This includes a primary pump, a secondary for if the primary fails or is not able to keep up, and a battery back up pump that will run in the case of power failure or in the unlikely event that both the primary and secondary pumps fail. Our discharge line equipped with IceGuard is ideal for Minnesota homeowners. Discharge lines are susceptible to freezing during the cold winters. The IceGuard is located outside where the discharge line exits the house. If the pipe underground freezes in the winter, water can still be pumped out without backing up into the basement.
