These homeowners purchased a home that had a crawlspace that needed some updating. It had the very common pink fiberglass insulation that was once thought to be the best option for insulating a crawl space. We have learned that that is NOT the case. This insulation fails if it is not air-sealed or if it gets wet, so a damp, underground space is not the environment for it. Not to mention, it can retain moisture and become a great place for mold to grow. We knew exactly how to help.
Our crawlspace encapsulation creates a bright, healthy, and pest-free space. The CleanSpace System is a heavy 20mil-thick-liner- like a pool liner. It's is manufactured in layers, a blend of high density polyethylene for puncture resistance, low density polyethylene for flexibility, and polyester cord reinforcement for brute tear resistance. It is manufactured with an antimicrobial additive called "UltraFresh" that is molded right into the material. The white finish brightens the space so you can see that your space is staying dry, free of mold, and pest free!
Let us know if you need to update your crawlspace. It will lower humidity in your home, make your floors warmer, and make a healthier home.
This homeowner was referred to us by a trusted friend. She had leaning and bowing walls in the basement, with a lot of cracking. Cracking in a block wall is a sign that the wall is moving. When your basement walls are moving, there is a danger of structural failure as the wall can eventually collapse in.
We knew our PowerBrace System was a great fit for her issues. We measure the wall height of your basement and cut the PowerBrace beam to fit. The bottom of the beam is then anchored to the floor. We install a top bracket to the first-floor framing, and secure the beam. Over time, the beams can be tightened to straighten the wall over time.
Our crew can install PowerBraces year round, and generally complete the project in just a day or 2. There is a product warranty as well as our service warranty to give you all the peace of mind we can.
Give us a call at 1-800-638-5285 if you would like us to inspect your walls to make sure you aren't at risk for structural damages.
Windom, Minnesota homeowners had a crawl space that was beyond just being an eyesore; it was a potential health hazard. Crawl spaces are often neglected spaces in homes, and - if left unaddressed - are commonly subject to moisture, mold, and air quality issues. Luckily, these homeowners worked with their System Design Specialist to encapsulate the space, as well as install a sump pump and dehumidifier. Now, they can rest assured that their home is safe for their family!
This homeowner was faced with a damp and musty basement due to water seepage. He knew he could rely on us for help, as we also waterproofed his basement at his previous home. Our Design Specialist Ron went out to see which products would remedy his water issues. They decided on our WaterGuard tiling system, Cleanspace wall system, our top rated SuperSump sump pump and our buried discharge line with IceGuard. He can be confident that his basement will be dry from now on.
Meg of Alpha, MN was concerned about water in her basement. She had an existing draintile system that has never failed or caused any standing water, but she wanted to be able to confidently put carpet in her basement and didn't want to do that before knowing that it could be ruined by water.
Our ThermalDry flooring tile is a waterproof flooring system that has a place for water, should that ever be a factor for our customer. The bottom of ThermalDry Flooring has pegs to create an airspace under your floor. This keeps water vapor from getting trapped underneath your finished floor that causes odors and mold.
ThermalDry Flooring also separates from the cold, hard and damp concrete floor, which also is a benefit to be more comfortable.
ThermalDry Flooring is available in many different colors and styles. Tile, carpeted, wood and traditional matting.
Our customer in Alpha, MN opted for the traditional ThermalDry Matting, which gives the customer the option to have their own color of flooring installed above the tile system.
