A homeowner in Rochester, MN was frustrated with outdated glass block basement windows that no longer matched his vision for the space. The windows allowed minimal natural light, had developed leaks over time, and detracted from the overall appearance of both the interior and exterior of the home. The basement felt dark, uninviting, and in need of an upgrade.
By replacing the old windows with our EverLast Window system, the transformation was immediate and impactful. The new windows provided a clean, modern look on the outside while dramatically increasing the amount of natural light inside the basement. Not only did this upgrade improve energy efficiency and eliminate leaks, but it also created a brighter, more welcoming space. Sometimes, a simple change can make a world of difference. And this project is a perfect example.
A homeowner in Rochester was dealing with a crawlspace that had clearly been showing its age for decades. Built in 1900, the home’s crawlspace was far from typical. The homeowner had started noticing sagging floors on the main level, along with a strong musty odor coming from below the house. When our System Design Specialist arrived to inspect the situation, it quickly became clear this would be a challenging project. The crawlspace had multiple small “rooms,” extremely tight areas, and other sections with as much as 5' of clearance, making repairs very difficult. Moisture, failing support beams, and poor air quality were all contributing to the home's ongoing problems.
Despite the difficult layout, our team developed a customized solution that allowed us to restore the crawlspace without the need for major demolition. We installed our CleanSpace encapsulation system throughout the accessible areas to help seal out moisture, pests, and cold air that were affecting the home above. We also reinforced the failing support beams to help stabilize the sagging floors and improve the structural integrity of the home. The transformation not only improved the condition of the crawlspace itself but also helped create a healthier, cleaner, and more comfortable living environment throughout the main floor of the home.
The Gariepy home in Cambridge got the works done on their basement. We installed a WaterGuard, TripleSafe Sump Pump, CleanSpace Crawlspace Encapsulation, and more! In the before photo you can clearly see the bottom of the concrete wall is leaky and damp. After, you will see our TripleSafe Sump Pump that was installed as well as where the WaterGuard runs with the new concrete beginning to cure on top.
This Lake Elmo homeowner updated his sump pump just in time for Spring! His old pump had failed so it was time to upgrade. Our top-of-the-line TripleSafe pump was installed. This is a three pump system. Pump 1 is the M-63 which is a 1/3hp cast iron pump that does most of the work. The 2nd pump is the M-98. This is a 1/2 hp that will kick in if Pump 1 fails. This is a larger pump that gives that "turbo boost" when you need it. Pump 3 is a battery back up system. This is a DC operated pump that will kick in if there is a power failure. This is the most reliable pumping system, keeping your basement dry with triple the protection.
These homeowners in Lake Elmo, MN wanted to update their old sump pump that wasn't working. They were also interested in updating their discharge line to a buried, low-maintenance line.
After a short inspection and conversation, it was decided to upgrade their old pump with our SuperSump and UltraSump System. This includes a 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron motor that can pump up to 2,650 gallons/hour. The UltraSump is the back up pumping system that runs on a high capacity 120 amp power pack. This means it will kick in if there is a power failure or the main pump fails for any reason. This set up is connected to our LawnScape buried discharge system with IceGuard that prevents any water from backing up into your basement in the case of freezing or clogging in the line.
They were very happy to have an updated system they could be confident in.
