A homeowner in Northfield, MN contacted us after years of battling a wet basement that only seemed to get worse during heavy rains. Water would seep in where the wall meets the floor, leaving puddles, musty odors, and concerns about long-term damage. She needed a permanent basement waterproofing solution that would protect her home and restore peace of mind.
After a thorough inspection, our team determined the best waterproofing solution would be to install the WaterGuard drainage system in combination with CleanSpace vapor barrier.
We started by excavating a trench along the interior perimeter of the basement floor, just above the footing. The WaterGuard system was then laid in place. This patented drain system collects water from the wall-floor joint and channels it to a sump pump system for safe discharge away from the home.
To address moisture and vapor intrusion through the walls, we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier.
