Our customer in Montgomery, MN had a goal to add a bedroom in the basement of their home, once of course it was waterproofed. Building Code for the state of MN requires an installation of an egress window to have it classed as a added bedroom in any home.
Anxious to get these goals accomplished as our customers were expecting a baby and wanted to have their home improvement projects completed before baby was born. They gave us a call at Complete Basement Systems and we transformed their old rusted window well into a beautiful Egress Window!
Dianne of Montgomery, MN contacted Complete Basement Systems after searching online for help with a water problem in her basement. When our representative met with her, Ryan Brenner asked her questions of what her plans with the basement involved after it was waterproofed and dry, and her goal was to add a bedroom and knew she needed an egress window to comply with building code.
After seeing the RockWell Egress Window Wells Complete Basement Systems offers to install, we added that product to the waterproofing project.
Dianne's timeline to have the project completed was in the spring of 2018. Having a new baby in the home, our customer did not want any construction work done during that time. The weather was not on our side most of March 2018, with below average temperatures, causing the ground to likely be tough to dig and snow events still yet happening as we approach early April.
This egress window project was probably the earliest we've ever hand dug an egress window and still kept with our normal installation process to complete a proper installation.
Our customer received a proper installation of their egress window well and within their timeline of a complete date to be able to enjoy the time at home caring for their newborn.
